Celebrating Barbie With Our Flashbacks of Women Volunteers

Greta Gerwig’s Barbie is winning the hearts of people. Some are considering the movie starring Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken to be a "feminist take" on the iconic doll. The movie has challenged traditional gender stereotypes, celebrated diversity and promoted self-acceptance.
Just like in the Barbyland, Barbies hold all important job positions such as doctors, lawyers, and politicians, in our programs we have experienced that our women volunteers have led most of our programs. So, we would like to go in a flashback and honor all our women volunteers from around the world.
Supportive and Strong Gloria
We would like to remember our moment here with Gloria, very supportive and helpful. On the very first day of her arrival while trying to commute to the Monastery, the car of the local coordinator was not starting, Gloria lent her hands to push the car with team FDIP, after that car started and her journey of help and support for 3 months started with it. She has been very kind and generous. The whole monastery family still remembers her and she had been like a mother to many little kids there. We wish her the very best!
Compassionate Mahek, Fatima and Grace
Their time with FDIP will always be memorable. Fatima and Mahek were working for our psychology program and Grace was volunteering in a Buddhist monastery. These ladies had shown such selfless efforts and empowered the activities of the entire program, we will always be grateful to them.
Energetic Gabriela and Olesya
We would like to mention our volunteers Gabriela from Brazil and Olesya from San Francisco, USA. The positive attitude of Olesya, and energetic enrollment of Gabriela were commendable. We still remember witty statements of Olesya which used to add fun in every trip we had together. We wish them both the best.
Ever Smiling Lena
Lena always spread some energy to the program with her bright smile. During her volunteering period in the childcare center, she built a bond with the kids that would last forever. Lena had been an inspiration to all the youths who would love to go on an empathetic journey of life.
