The entire month is dedicated in celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) social and self-acceptance, achievements, legal rights, and pride. Anyone who wants to encourage or support the effort to raise awareness for the struggles faced by the LGBTQ+ community can celebrate the pride month or join a pride parade.
Except for some countries that still view the LGBTQ+ community as illegal or unnatural, other countries have become quite liberal towards the community as a whole. Though they are still not provided with equal rights under the law, they have made some progress and people are joining hands to help each other fight for their place in this world. People who wish to learn and help othersin any way they can might want to join either regional or international volunteer programs.
You can find volunteer programs ranging from childcare, mental health, monastery, teaching in schools, community development, wildlife and environmental conservation, etc. in various countries whichare open and welcoming to the LGBT community. You can use this platform to raise awareness and help people struggling with their own gender identity to understand themselves better. But if you are interested in volunteering specifically for the LGBT community then you can find various events or organizations whose main goal is to provide equal justice under the law for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community.

People from the LGBTQ+ community can join various volunteer abroad programs without facing any restrictions or difficulties that may arise because of their gender identity or sexual orientation. Even though the abroad volunteer opportunities are mostly inunderdeveloped or developing countries, it's perfectly safe as the respective programs and the people involved are friendly, understanding, welcoming and most of all harmless.
You can also use this opportunity to teach children about being nondiscriminatory towards others based on their gender and also provide knowledge regarding the different genders other than male and female.
