Celebrate the Lows!

Shocking isn’t it? Why would someone say that? The celebration should be for the highs and why would someone celebrate the lows? Why would someone even go to the lowest point? Well, these are the questions that would definitely come up in your mind.

However, one way or the other, there will be times in your life where you would think that’s it, I can’t go down more than this. The times which would crush you from inside and out, wherein you would feel there’s no end to the suffering or the dreadful day or the helplessness, the situation.

But in reality, if you see, the lows will teach you more about yourself than any of the highs can. The lows will make you look in the areas which you were hiding from yourself.

And during those moments, the challenging ones, the confused ones, I cannot emphasize more, the importance of deep breathing. It helps you center yourself. As oxygen floats fully in your body and you become aware of the autopilot mode you are functioning and your endless mind chatter. Few more deep and long breaths and your nervous system becomes calmer and calmer.. in a relaxed state.

And then by closing your eyes and observing yourself from the outside, look within to find answers about the low point you just hit, your fear, insecurity, the scarcity mindset. What need do you want to fulfill, what is the situation teaching you? Sometimes you might not get the answers but you would definitely get the clues. Listen to the whispers of your inner voice. Those clues would lead you to become a better person for yourself and to the world if you take action on it. Eventually, focusing on the learning and not the problems/lows.. and as you continue to do the self-work, slowly but surely the journey will be worthwhile.. you will learn to live the present moment.. living in reality.. at peace. And isn’t it the case? The ultimate journey is always to explore within rather than outside.
