Are you planning for volunteering abroad? Volunteering in Nepal is one of the best idea because of affordability as well as the amazing cultural diversity and breathtaking landscape of Nepal. Regardless of natural beauty and cultural complexity the country remains deprived. Many of the people here cannot enjoy the basic needs. The capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu is the largest metropolis in Hilly region of Nepal. It is a valley that includes other districts and towns viz; Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Madhyapur Thimi and Kirtipur. Kathmandu has been the center for history, art, culture and economy of Nepal. It has multiethnic population from all around the country with majority of Hindus and Buddhists. Ancient temples and palaces are the major tourist attraction of the city. In Kathmandu, there are several volunteer programs available like, Teaching English in School, Working in Orphanage, Medical or Health Projects and so on.
Gorkha is one of the 75 district of Nepal, is the birthplace of King Prithivi Narayan Shah and carries historical importance for the creation and unification of modern Nepal. Gorkha is also famous for the Legendary Gurkha soldiers. Gorkha became notorious as the epicenter of the worst Earthquake hit in 2015. However, the town stands out and remains important pilgrimage for the people of Nepal, especially Newar Community.

It is situated in the height of 850 meters to 7080 meters from sea level. Agriculture is the major occupation of people in this district. It is composed of several ethnic group like Tamang, Brahmin, Chhetri, Newar, Sherpa etc. Teaching English in School, Agricultural volunteering, Medical and health projects, construction and developmental work, environmental conservation, etc, are some of the major volunteering program in Sindhupalchowk.
Chitwan is the district in Terai region of Nepal that lies to the south-west of Kathmandu. It is one of the developed district of Nepal with commercial as well as tourism attraction. Narayangarh and Bharatpur are the major town of Chitwan. Chitwan National Park is one of the major tourism destination where Tigers and one-horned Rhino are being conserved. Elephant Polo World, Narayani Bridge, Beeshazar Lake are other places of interest in Chitwan district. Elephant volunteering, Volunteering in orphanage and conservation volunteer are the major volunteering programs in Chitwan.
Pokhara – one of the major cities situated at Kaski district of Nepal is known for the city of lakes.Pokhara Valley is the second–largest valley in the hilly region of Nepal that lies in the western part of the Nepal. Phewa Lake and Begnas lake are major lakes of the city. Pokhara is one of the famous tourism destination with its spectacular sceneries and adventurous activities. It is the gateway for Annapurna Circuit, a popular trail in Himalayas.
