Peru Teaching Volunteer Program

Because the country with the Peruvian highlands receives less precipitation in the summer and the temperature is pleasant, Cusco and Machu Picchu are the most popular summer destinations for all visitors. Peru's most elaborate and beautiful weavings are as complicated as the country itself. At festivals, old traditions are remembered, the urban avant-garde fosters innovation, and nature provides incredible diversity. Hiking across the beautiful Andes to the world-famous Inca fortress of Machu Picchu is the major draw for most visitors to Peru. However, this represents only a small portion of the country's total wealth. Peru's landscapes are diverse, including fascinating geoglyphs.

What's fantastic about this project is that you'll be working with keen minds ready to learn. Your disciple will relish the opportunity to learn a global language. As a volunteer, you will also have the opportunity to share your expertise with an enthusiastic audience. While there are options for students to learn English in Peru, many of them are either too expensive or insufficient. As a volunteer, you can provide these youngsters with quality teaching that will benefit them in the long run.

Volunteer’s Roles Responsibilities and Activities

Volunteers will instruct a big class with the help of other teachers.Volunteers will teach for 2-3 hours each day, or even more if desired, six days a week. You are encouraged to have arguments and conversations with your students, since this will improve their capacity to understand English. Many volunteers have also participated in extracurricular activities such as games, athletics, and theater productions.A member of the local team will accompany you during your placement.

Your coordinators are ready to help you in every manner possible. No prior experience or abilities are required, and on-site training is available. The curriculum focuses on monks and children's development and progress. We remind you that the program is not about intervention, and we recommend that you have an open mind to get the most out of it.

Arrival and Orientation

Our staff will greet you at the Velasco Astete Aeropuerto International Airport in Cusco and take you to your community home or host family lodging. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and enjoy Peruvian hospitality. You will meet the organizers and other members of your group in a formal setting. During orientation, you will have a deeper grasp of Peru and your program. You'll see Cusco later on in the journey, which is famed for its historical significance and natural beauty.

Accommodation

The communal house has the capacity to hold 10 to 15 persons. Gender-specific dormitory rooms are provided in a hostel-style setting for group lodging. Each of the leaders of the groups has their own sleeping quarters. The dining and living spaces, as well as the restrooms, include Wi-Fi. Host families may be given as an option, depending on the size of the event. Our host family have passed extensive background checks, have been a part of our program for several years, and have been highly recommended by former participants. On request, upgraded accommodations are available.

Free Time Travel Activities in Cusco, Peru

Cusco, Peru's Andean capital, was formerly the Inca Empire's capital and is today recognized for its archaeological ruins and Spanish colonial architecture. During the beach, at summer carnivals, and by participating in outdoor activities and games, you may have a good time.

Meanwhile, you can unwind and enjoy Cusco. If this is your last day in the program, our staff will help you make future arrangements. Those who remain committed to the program will be awarded a two-day weekend to relax. Placements that persist more than a week are treated similarly. You'll be working on the project Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday are completely yours to do with as you like.
