Last Updated: January 15, 2024
TweetCusco and Machu Picchu are the most popular summer destinations for all visitors, since the country with the Peruvian highlands receives less precipitation in the summer and the temperature is nice. The most intricate and gorgeous weavings in Peru are as complex as the nation itself. Old traditions are commemorated at festivals, the urban avant-garde promotes innovation, and nature offers amazing variety. For most tourists to Peru, hiking over the majestic Andes to the world-famous Inca stronghold of Machu Picchu is the main attraction. This, however, only accounts for a minor fraction of the country's wealth. Peru's landscapes are varied, featuring intriguing geoglyphs.
The initiative is based in the Amazon's Manu National Park and Peru's diverse biodiversity. As a volunteer, you will collaborate with local groups in Manu National Park to conduct ecological restoration projects. You'll be able to see how local biologists and conservationists are working hard to conserve one of the planet's most dynamic habits. When you volunteer for this project, you will be joining a group of people and organizations dedicated to preserving this land in its natural state.
Volunteer’s Roles Responsibilities and Activities
This project is in desperate need of assistance, and the possibilities are abundant. Digging, filling plastic bags, weeding, irrigating, and other tasks are all part of the nursery job. Volunteers will learn about their cultures and assist on the farms with agriculture, building, and animal care, among other things. Volunteers will also seek to maintain the biodiversity that already exists. Volunteers will collaborate with biology students and other experts. Their present efforts are focused on teaching people from the neighboring villages how to protect the environment in which they live. At various seasons of the year, they also run reforestation projects. You may be keeping an eye on bird and monkey species.
You will contribute to the local people while also growing personally and professionally by assisting with Amazon conservation initiatives. The natural environment and animals must be protected and conserved.
