Spending my time in Nepal was one of the best experiences of my life. Instead of feeling like a tourist, I felt like family. Nepalese people are really warm, welcoming, and kind.
The best moments were during my volunteering at a Buddhist monastery. There, I spent time teaching the little nuns (child monks) and sharing everyday moments with them. Their energy was top notch, full of curiosity and happiness. In such a short time, I created a bond that I will never forget.
There were also other volunteers with me at the monastery. We worked together to make the classes more fun and meaningful, and to make sure we were giving something rewarding to the monks.
Beyond volunteering, simply being in Nepal and interacting with the locals gave a next-level joy on its own.
