I recently traveled to Nepal, where I stayed with a local family, enjoyed delicious meals, and explored many places in and around Kathmandu. It felt less like a trip and more like being part of a new home.
But the experience that stayed closest to my heart was my visit to a Buddhist monastery.
I went there thinking I would teach the child monks. At first, I felt confused because I had not received many instructions. But the moment I met them, everything changed.
They were kind, curious, and full of life. Their laughter, energy, and innocence made every moment feel pure and special.
We spent time singing, dancing, drawing, and even creating short videos together. Somewhere along the way, they quietly stole a piece of my heart.
What surprised me the most was how much I learned from them. I had gone there to teach, but they ended up teaching me far more—about simplicity, joy, and presence.
This became the most meaningful and rewarding experience of my life.
All in all, this journey was unforgettable, and I will surely be back.
